What it does
Getting a pavé piece into Second Life usually costs you an evening. You separate by loose parts, count vertices, duplicate the helper cube and join group after group by hand, and one wrong join means starting over.
Getting a pavé piece into Second Life usually costs you an evening. You separate by loose parts, count vertices, duplicate the helper cube and join group after group by hand, and one wrong join means starting over.
DGE SL Jewelry Toolkit is a Blender add-on that turns dense jewelry into Second Life-ready meshes in one click.

322,000
vertices on the test piece
7,668
loose parts in
37
Second Life-ready meshes out
One real pavé piece, one click.

Build Jewelry separates every loose part and groups the parts into meshes of up to 8,800 vertices. It then adds a transparent helper cube to each mesh and joins them.

Blender 5 removed its COLLADA exporter. This toolkit exports .dae on every version from 4.2 to 5.2.

Pick a shade or upload your own. Every stone gets a centred top-down texture, even on joined pavé with prongs.
Built for heavy pavé
On a real 322,000-vertex pavé piece, 7,668 loose parts became 37 Second Life-ready meshes.
Your design stays exactly as you made it
Stones, prongs and bail stay where they were. UVs and materials are kept, and nothing is decimated or deleted.
Safe to use
If a step fails, nothing changes. Ctrl+Z brings your original back, and you can rebuild without losing work.

Made for
Second Life jewelry creators who build in Blender and are tired of preparing uploads by hand.
Not for
Making a heavy piece lighter. The toolkit prepares your meshes for upload but doesn't reduce them, so land impact still depends on your design.

Full feature list
Build Jewelry
Separates every loose part for you, without Edit Mode.
Groups parts into meshes of up to 8,800 vertices each.
Splits oversized parts without changing their shape, and keeps smooth shading.
Keeps every mesh within Second Life's limit of 8 materials per mesh.
Adds one transparent helper cube per mesh, sized and placed behind the piece.
Replaces your original with the built meshes, so there's no duplicate to clean up.
Rebuild any time: add new pieces, click Build again, and nothing is lost.
Works with modifiers, text, curves, nested collections and mirrored objects.
Ready for Export
One button applies all transforms and sets every origin to your 3D cursor.
Checks that no geometry moved, then selects the result for you.
Export stays locked until you're ready, and it warns you if you change something afterwards.
Export Jewelry
COLLADA (.dae), the Second Life mesh format, on Blender 4.2 to 5.2.
Copies your textures next to the file.
Also exports glTF Binary (.glb).
Exports only your finished jewelry, never the rest of the scene.
Diamond Texture
Three diamond shades (Light, Warm, Dark) with picture previews.
Upload your own diamond texture. It's used exactly as you supplied it.
Top-down projection: every stone is centred and filled, and never stretched.
Textures many stones at once, joined pavé with prongs included. Prongs and metal stay untouched.
Rotation, Texture Scale and Reset controls, saved in your .blend.
Change the shade even after Build.
Reference Body
Adds a 1.88 m Second Life male body in one click, so you can judge size and placement.
Move or scale it straight away.
Never included in your build or export.
